The Repair Process
So, if your laptop does breakdown, what should you do? Well, first of all you’ll want to get in touch and tell us the nature of the problem along with details about possible causes (and don’t be embarrassed if you spilt a coffee on the keys – we’ve seen it dozens of times before!).
We’ll then be able to get in touch and talk through the options that are available, including the length of time that we would expect it to take (although this will only be an estimate), and arrange for you to deliver the laptop to us. Alternatively, we can usually help with walk-in requests, so if you’re headed into Lancaster anyway then feel free to bring it along and we’ll see what we can do.
At this point, our team will turn their technical minds to whatever issues are affecting your device, from viruses that might be affecting its running to physical issues such as a crack in the screen. We can even help you to recover lost passwords if you find yourself locked out of the machine.
If it is going to take longer than anticipated, then you can expect regular updates to keep you aware of the progress that we’re making. And the final step? Well, that’s when you pick up your laptop, load it up and see that everything is finally back to normal.
